The project ‘Science + Gender: R&D&I&E with a gender approach at Universidad de Santiago’, led by the Office of the Vice-President for Research, Innovation and Creation (VRIIC), aims to promote gender mainstreaming in scientific research and reduce the gender gap in scientific and research careers.
InES Gender research is a call issued by the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID). This project aims to contribute to the implementation of actions and the establishment of capacities in national universities to enable them to carry out development plans to reduce the gender gap in scientific and technological R&D&I&E.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
To develop policies, strategies and organizations for the comprehensive implementation of the gender approach in R&D&I&E at Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
To implement actions and strategies to increase the equal participation of women (university teachers and students) in research, development, innovation and entrepreneurship.
To implement and assess mechanisms that encourage and strengthen the scientific-research career of women at the University, both in terms of promotion and recognition, as well as in terms of productivity and active participation in the research community.
To design and implement a multidisciplinary nucleus that promotes research, development and innovation with a gender perspective at Universidad de Santiago de Chile, through the creation, generation and dissemination of scientific knowledge relevant for the country.
To implement a quality assurance system for the institutional monitoring and follow-up of the actions, strategies and policies of the project under a continuous improvement approach, assessing and perfecting the conditions for the access and participation of women in research at Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
