DESCRIPTION
The mission of this center is to calculate new Reference Frameworks for Chile, systematically process the SIRGAS-CON Network according to SIRGAS requirements, and to submit the solutions to the DGFI for their analysis and combination with results from other international processing programs.
The general objective of the USC Center is to monitor the kinematic effects of the Earth’s crust and infrastructure, as well as generating and promoting teaching, research and external consultancy in Geodesics, together with the creation of graduate programs at Universidad de Santiago.
SERVICES
Processing for all the stations available in the Southern Cone, allowing for the monitoring of the GNSS network and the generation of local deformation models.
Generation of programs and observation protocols for measuring GNSS
Performance of the necessary processing for supporting the planning and implementation of engineering projects.
Maintenance of the technological media of software and hardware updated for proper the operation of the reception antennas (GNSS USC station), which analyze and distribute geodesic information at the national and international levels.
