DESCRIPTION
Laboratory of Neuroscience focused on electrophysiological studies that analyze the neural activity related to glial and nerve cells’ respiration and signal transmission. The laboratory is equipped to perform calcium fluorescence studies, which facilitates the real-time visualization of cellular activity. In addition, through immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence the laboratory examines the distribution of proteins in brain tissue, which are essential to understand the molecular mechanisms behind sudden death. The laboratory is also equipped for molecular studies on the gene expression associated with the neurological processes studied.
