DESCRIPTION
The laboratory is dedicated to the research, development and application of natural products of plant origin. The main objective of the laboratory is to find new compounds with bioactive properties that can be used for the development of new antimicrobial products (vaccines and food additives), for the pathogen control of the aquaculture industry, and other products of industrial interest.
RESEARCH LINE
Isolation and purification of secondary metabolites of plant origin.
Synthesis of copper complexes with ligands derived from natural products.
Assessment of the antiviral and antibacterial activity of secondary and complex copper metabolites with ligands derived from natural products in pathogens affecting the aquaculture industry.
