DESCRIPTION
Laboratory dedicated to the development of food biotechnology, with emphasis on the field of food microbiology. It contains the most important collection of wine yeast strains (Saccharomyces and non-Saccharomyces) in Chile.
LAMAP has researchers with more than 40 scientific publications in WOS/SCOPUS journals. In addition to their commitment to the national productive sector, LAMAP transfers technology developed in its laboratory, as it has been granted 3 invention patents and 2 technological products that are already commercially available at the national and international levels.
SERVICES
LAMAP works with companies from the agrifood sector, providing microbiological services and consulting on problems related to its activity, as well as delivering private training programs for companies.
The activities of LAMAP have also played a role in the society, as LAMAP has rescued heritage products generated by small farmers from the southern or northern areas of Chile. LAMAP is committed to the country and its people.
