Agosto 10, 2022 / con ciencia mujer
Dr. María Angélica Ganga has conducted research projects in both basic and applied sciences, with more than 40 research papers published in WOS/Scopus journals. She has also been granted two patents and one product license for the food industry.
Her more than 20 years of laboratory research have resulted in two great products for the food industry: two commercial yeasts sold in the European market and also in the Chilean market, and the isolation of yeasts to support for Pajarete wine producers from the 4th region of Chile, which is part of USACH’s social role.
Regarding gender equality, Dr. Maria Angélica Ganga believes there has been some slow progress but “more advances are still needed”, and it is necessary to “invite women to make science because we have the capabilities and the talent. Nobody should encroach us, if we have to and want to do something”, she added.
