LEEMA-Laboratory of Exploration in Environmental Architectonic Materials
School of Architecture
3 (1)
DESCRIPTION
Laboratory focused on the mechanical recycling of polymers and other materials for their reuse as architectural and construction materials and components. From an interdisciplinary approach between architecture, industrial design, chemical engineering and material engineering, prototypes are designed and validated through concept tests and preindustrial products. The laboratory is equipped with machines and instruments for mechanical recycling and environmental analysis of the degradation potential of polluting atmospheric gases.
