ENGINEERING 2030
PROJECT

During 2022, the Faculty of Engineering was granted the third stage of the project Engineering 2030, which aims to achieve sustainability in the institutional transformations that took place during the implementation of the strategic plans in the Engineering Faculties. This objective will be achieved through the consolidation of strategic initiatives in engineering education, applied research, entrepreneurship, innovation and transfer to the industry, management of change and governance.

One of the main challenges for this new stage is to strengthen internationalization, that is, to give students the opportunity to have an experience abroad during their training. Additionally, the initiative aims to take advantage of the multiple R&D agreements, and foster the new curricular trajectory based on innovation and entrepreneurship until the full implementation of the 10 training subjects.

The above implies a continuous bet on multidisciplinary technological innovation and the facilitation of technology transfer to the industry and the society, as well as the consolidation of an entrepreneurial culture promoted by the project, which has permeated the directive layers of our university, making them more aware of the need to motivate more women to study engineering.
