Seg\u00fan estimaciones de la Oficina de Estudios y Pol\u00edticas Agrarias (Odepa), en el pa\u00eds se producen m\u00e1s de 3.200 millones de unidades al a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo anterior, tambi\u00e9n implica la producci\u00f3n a gran escala de las bandejas para huevos, las que una vez utilizadas pueden tener dos caminos: pasar a ser un desecho o bien darles otro uso, por ejemplo, como material aislante ac\u00fastico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta \u00faltima opci\u00f3n est\u00e1 cobrando cada vez m\u00e1s relevancia, debido a la necesidad actual de reciclar y revalorizar los residuos, ya sea en forma voluntaria o bien para dar cumplimiento a la legislaci\u00f3n que busca que la industria reduzca el impacto medioambiental de sus productos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ejemplo de lo anterior es la Ley de Responsabilidad Extendida del Productor (REP), en que los productores de productos prioritarios pasar a ser responsables de la organizaci\u00f3n y financiamiento de la gesti\u00f3n de los residuos derivados de su comercializaci\u00f3n en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En ese contexto, una investigaci\u00f3n de USACH liderada por el Dr. Francisco Sep\u00falveda, investigador y acad\u00e9mico de Ingenier\u00eda en Geomensura de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda, y Gary Villanueva, egresado de Ingenier\u00eda en Ejecuci\u00f3n Mec\u00e1nica USACH, logr\u00f3 el desarrollo de nuevos productos para la construcci\u00f3n, sustentables y resistentes al fuego, que fueron elaborados a partir del reciclaje de cartones y cajas de huevos, entre otros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta tecnolog\u00eda propone un aglomerado moldeable de material reciclado en base a celulosa para la manufactura de productos constructivos, junto con los m\u00e9todos de preparaci\u00f3n de este y de producci\u00f3n de los elementos constructivos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El material reciclado de celulosa se obtuvo utilizando principalmente cajas para huevos de 30 unidades, la cual result\u00f3 \u00fatil para fabricar productos ign\u00edfugos reciclables para la construcci\u00f3n. Dicho material se caracteriza por sus \u00f3ptimos niveles de conductividad y resistencia t\u00e9rmica m\u00e1xima, permitiendo lograr productos como paneles para cielo falso o ladrillos con propiedades mejoradas en comparaci\u00f3n los utilizados actualmente. Por lo mismo, resultan especialmente \u00fatiles para aplicar en la edificaci\u00f3n o el reacondicionamiento de viviendas sustentables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A trav\u00e9s de esta invenci\u00f3n buscan impactar a las industrias de la construcci\u00f3n y de arquitectura, as\u00ed como a otros rubros como el de la fabricaci\u00f3n de art\u00edculos para el hogar. \u201cCon este material tambi\u00e9n hemos podido desarrollar l\u00e1mparas, maceteros y otros productos ornamentales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la actualidad, esta tecnolog\u00eda USACH se encuentra con patente concedida en Chile, tr\u00e1mite
