La iniciativa es financiada por ANID, ejecutada junto a la P. Universidad Cat\u00f3lica y tiene como asociadas a las empresas Tecnolog\u00edas de Remediaci\u00f3n Ambiental SpA y Agencias N\u00f3rdicas Ricardo Rubio M\u00e9ndez y C\u00eda. Ltda., adem\u00e1s del apoyo de la Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica Usach.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-280a57c4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"280a57c4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chile busca posicionarse como un referente mundial en la producci\u00f3n y exportaci\u00f3n de hidr\u00f3geno verde, combustible limpio que es clave para avanzar hacia la descarbonizaci\u00f3n y disminuir la dependencia de los combustibles f\u00f3siles.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para conseguirlo, nuestro pa\u00eds cuenta con un gran potencial energ\u00e9tico solar y e\u00f3lico, que le permitir\u00eda generar hidr\u00f3geno verde mediante la electr\u00f3lisis del agua. En\u00a0 dicho proceso, la electricidad proveniente de fuentes renovables como paneles solares o aerogeneradores, se utiliza para dividir las mol\u00e9culas de agua en hidr\u00f3geno y ox\u00edgeno, produciendo un combustible que solo emite vapor de agua como residuo.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En este escenario, la Universidad de Santiago de Chile (Usach)\u00a0 impulsa el <\/span><b>proyecto Fondef \u201cFabricaci\u00f3n de tintas electrocatal\u00edticas basadas en sulfuro de molibdeno y l\u00edquidos i\u00f3nicos como material cat\u00f3dico para la reacci\u00f3n de evoluci\u00f3n de hidr\u00f3geno y su evaluaci\u00f3n en ambiente PEM\u201d, a trav\u00e9s del <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/vriic.usach.cl\/index.php\/laboratorio-de-materiales-electroceramicos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Laboratorio de Materiales Electrocer\u00e1micos<\/b><\/a><b> de la <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quimicaybiologia.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Facultad de Qu\u00edmica y Biolog\u00eda<\/b><\/a><b>, el cual e<\/b><b>s liderado p<\/b><b>or el Dr. Domingo Ruiz Le\u00f3n.<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La investigaci\u00f3n es financiada por <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/anid.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ANID<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y se desarrolla junto a la <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uc.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, como beneficiario principal, teniendo como entidades asociadas a las empresas <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/tra-bg\/?originalSubdomain=cl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tecnolog\u00edas de Remediaci\u00f3n Ambiental SpA<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y Agencias N\u00f3rdicas Ricardo Rubio M\u00e9ndez y C\u00eda. Ltda., adem\u00e1s del apoyo de la Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica de la Vicerrector\u00eda de Investigaci\u00f3n, Innovaci\u00f3n y Creaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cNuestro\u00a0 objetivo es desarrollar tintas electrocatal\u00edticas que puedan aplicarse en el c\u00e1todo de los reactores donde ocurre la reacci\u00f3n que produce hidr\u00f3geno, reemplazando el uso de platino en este proceso por materiales que sean mucho m\u00e1s econ\u00f3micos en la manufactura. Con esta innovaci\u00f3n apuntamos a reducir los costos y aumentar la eficiencia de la electr\u00f3lisis\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, explica el Dr. Ruiz.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El investigador se\u00f1ala que el proyecto responde al roadmap impulsado por el Gobierno, el cual busca resolver dos desaf\u00edos clave: la producci\u00f3n y el almacenamiento de este energ\u00e9tico. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cLas tintas que buscamos desarrollar permitir\u00e1n manufacturar membranas de forma m\u00e1s simple y econ\u00f3mica, lo que facilitar\u00eda el escalamiento del proceso de producci\u00f3n de hidr\u00f3geno en reactores de tipo PEM<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d, agrega.<\/span><\/p><h2>\u00a0<\/h2><h2><b>Validaci\u00f3n a escala piloto<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esta investigaci\u00f3n <\/span><b>combina la experiencia y capacidades del Laboratorio de Materiales Electrocer\u00e1micos de la Usach<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, que se encargar\u00e1 de la s\u00edntesis y caracterizaci\u00f3n estructural de las tintas,\u00a0 y del <\/span><b>Laboratorio de Electroqu\u00edmica de la PUC<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, dirigido por el investigador Dr. Mauricio Isaacs y que ser\u00e1 responsable de la s\u00edntesis y\u00a0 pruebas de los materiales obtenidos\u00a0 en reactores a escala piloto.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al respecto, el Dr. Domingo Ruiz destaca la amplia colaboraci\u00f3n que se ha dado entre ambos laboratorios en distintos proyectos acad\u00e9micos.\u00a0 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cLlevamos m\u00e1s de veinte a\u00f1os trabajando en conjunto, integrando el conocimiento en materiales y electroqu\u00edmica, y ahora tambi\u00e9n formando estudiantes en cotutela a nivel de pre y posgrado\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, comenta.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asimismo, el acad\u00e9mico agrega que <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201ccomo Laboratorio de Materiales Electrocer\u00e1micos Usach, estamos aportando nuestra trayectoria en el \u00e1rea de energ\u00edas renovables, y a trav\u00e9s de este proyecto, esperamos comenzar a desarrollar prototipos escalables que permitan avanzar hacia aplicaciones industriales en ambientes reales\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El proyecto tendr\u00e1 una duraci\u00f3n de dos a\u00f1os. En la primera etapa se abordar\u00e1 la s\u00edntesis y caracterizaci\u00f3n de la tinta electrocatal\u00edtica, mientras que en la segunda se evaluar\u00e1 su desempe\u00f1o en membranas reactivas, probando los par\u00e1metros operacionales en un reactor real.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cLa ejecuci\u00f3n y logros en cada una de estas fases, nos permitir\u00e1n determinar el nivel de consumo, la generaci\u00f3n y calidad del hidr\u00f3geno producido, as\u00ed como determinar los costos y todos los par\u00e1metros industriales asociados a su producci\u00f3n\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, explica el Dr. Ruiz.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El acad\u00e9mico se\u00f1ala que el Nivel de Madurez Tecnol\u00f3gica (TRL) del proyecto est\u00e1 cercano a 4, con la meta de alcanzar niveles 5 y 6, correspondientes a ensayos experimentales en reactores. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEl progreso depender\u00e1 de la eficiencia y pureza alcanzadas en la producci\u00f3n del hidr\u00f3geno, as\u00ed como del costo final del proceso\u201d,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> precisa.<\/span><\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cCon esta investigaci\u00f3n esperamos aportar a un futuro energ\u00e9tico m\u00e1s limpio y a la
