Natalia Juica, investigadores de la Facultad de Qu\u00edmica y Biolog\u00eda, trabajan en el desarrollo de una innovadora formulaci\u00f3n antif\u00fangica basada en nanopart\u00edculas biodegradables para enfrentar las infecciones que afectan a los cultivos. El proyecto es financiado por ANID, cuenta con la colaboraci\u00f3n de la empresa ANASAC y el apoyo de la Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica de la Vriic.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-10c5d384 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"10c5d384\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"field field-name-post-date field-type-ds field-label-hidden\"><div class=\"field-items\"><div class=\"field-item even\"><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La fruticultura chilena ha crecido de forma sostenida en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, impulsada por la alta demanda internacional. Para mantener su competitividad, el sector ha adoptado pr\u00e1cticas m\u00e1s intensivas como una mayor densidad de plantaci\u00f3n, podas agresivas y un uso elevado de fertilizantes.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sin embargo, estas estrategias han favorecido la aparici\u00f3n de enfermedades causadas por hongos fitopat\u00f3genos, especialmente las denominadas enfermedades de\u00a0 la madera de los frutales, que terminan por debilitar la estructura de los \u00e1rboles y reducir considerablemente su productividad.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para abordar esta problem\u00e1tica, en la Universidad de Santiago se ejecuta el proyecto Fondef I+D 2024 \u201c<\/span><b>Desarrollo de una formulaci\u00f3n nano-biotecnol\u00f3gica en base a fungicidas org\u00e1nicos para la prevenci\u00f3n y tratamiento de enfermedades de la madera en frutales\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, liderado por el Dr. Luis Constandil, Director del <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vriic.usach.cl\/index.php\/laboratorio-de-neurobiologia-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laboratorio de Neurobiolog\u00eda<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, junto a la Dra. Natalia Juica, ambos investigadores de la <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quimicaybiologia.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facultad de Qu\u00edmica y Biolog\u00eda<\/a>.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En la iniciativa participa como entidad asociada <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/anasac.com\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ANASAC<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, empresa de productos agr\u00edcolas y veterinarios, y su ejecuci\u00f3n es apoyada por nuestra <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vriic.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vicerrector\u00eda de Investigaci\u00f3n, Innovaci\u00f3n y Creaci\u00f3n<\/a> (Vriic)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, la <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dgt.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica<\/a> (DGT).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tal como explica el Dr. Luis Constandil, el objetivo de la investigaci\u00f3n es\u00a0 \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">desarrollar una formulaci\u00f3n en base a nanopart\u00edculas ecoamigables, sintetizadas, a partir de pol\u00edmeros naturales cargadas con agentes antif\u00fangicos de origen natural para controlar las infecciones que causan en los \u00e1rboles frutales\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asimismo, la Dra. Natalia Juica, agrega que buscan proponer <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cuna soluci\u00f3n con caracter\u00edsticas biodegradables y de bajo impacto medioambiental, que sea una alternativa eficaz para utilizar en la industria agr\u00edcola, respecto a los cl\u00e1sicos pesticidas que se ocupan, que son sint\u00e9ticos\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para lograr esos prop\u00f3sitos, se aprovechar\u00e1n las capacidades, conocimiento y trayectoria del Laboratorio de Neurobiolog\u00eda en el \u00e1mbito del manejo de s\u00edntesis, caracterizaci\u00f3n y evaluaci\u00f3n de nanopart\u00edculas biopolim\u00e9ricas en proyectos I+D para\u00a0 biomedicina\u00a0 y agricultura.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Formulaci\u00f3n eficaz e inocua<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Actualmente, la investigaci\u00f3n se encuentra en su primera etapa de ejecuci\u00f3n, centrada en la s\u00edntesis y caracterizaci\u00f3n de las nanopart\u00edculas con compuestos antif\u00fangicos extra\u00eddos de fuentes naturales.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En una segunda fase, el equipo evaluar\u00e1 la efectividad de dicha formulaci\u00f3n, tanto a nivel de laboratorio como en entornos reales.
