La iniciativa es financiada por Corfo y cuenta con la colaboraci\u00f3n de la empresa FEXPA, adem\u00e1s del apoyo de la Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica de la Vriic.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2fdc6305 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2fdc6305\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"field field-name-post-date field-type-ds field-label-hidden\"><div class=\"field-items\"><div class=\"field-item even\"><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La fabricaci\u00f3n de piezas met\u00e1licas de grandes dimensiones para industrias como la miner\u00eda, exige mantener el metal fundido a temperaturas precisas para evitar deformaciones. En dicho proceso, resulta esencial utilizar mangas exot\u00e9rmicas \u2014moldes cil\u00edndricos que permiten la solidificaci\u00f3n controlada del metal l\u00edquido\u2014 para garantizar la integridad de las piezas.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En este contexto, la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universidad de Santiago de Chile<\/a> avanza en el desarrollo de una nueva formulaci\u00f3n de mangas exot\u00e9rmicas, optimizando sus propiedades termoqu\u00edmicas y eficiencia metal\u00fargica.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Se trata del proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n \u201c<\/span><b>Dise\u00f1o de una manga exot\u00e9rmica con un mayor rendimiento metal\u00fargico utilizando herramientas experimentales y num\u00e9ricas\u201d,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> liderado por el <strong>Dr. Diego Vasco Calle<\/strong>, investigador del <a href=\"https:\/\/dimec.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Mec\u00e1nica<\/a> de la <a href=\"https:\/\/fing.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda<\/a>. La iniciativa\u00a0 cuenta con financiamiento de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.corfo.cl\/sites\/cpp\/homecorfo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Corfo<\/a>, la colaboraci\u00f3n de la empresa <a href=\"https:\/\/fexpa.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FEXPA<\/a>, especializada en la fabricaci\u00f3n de mangas, y el apoyo de la <a href=\"https:\/\/vriic.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vicerrector\u00eda de Investigaci\u00f3n, Innovaci\u00f3n y Creaci\u00f3n<\/a>, a trav\u00e9s de su <a href=\"https:\/\/dgt.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica.<\/a><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Este proyecto I+D\u00a0 nace desde una colaboraci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica con FEXPA, la cual requiere fortalecer la calidad y competitividad de este producto en el mercado.<\/strong> \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nuestro objetivo es aportar desde la ciencia, proponiendo una formulaci\u00f3n mejorada que permita entender el rol de cada uno de los componentes, en el comportamiento t\u00e9rmico y funcional de las mangas\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, explica el Dr. Vasco.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Uno de los principales desaf\u00edos es mejorar el desempe\u00f1o de las mangas durante la solidificaci\u00f3n del metal l\u00edquido, un proceso cr\u00edtico para garantizar la forma y volumen final de la pieza met\u00e1lica.<\/strong> <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSi las mangas fallan, se generan p\u00e9rdidas cuantiosas, ya que el material no se puede recuperar\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, advierte el investigador.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Asimismo, destaca que la investigaci\u00f3n contempla dos etapas.<\/strong> En la primera, se realiz\u00f3 la caracterizaci\u00f3n fisicoqu\u00edmica del proceso de liberaci\u00f3n de calor en las mangas, lo que ha permitido avanzar en nuevas formulaciones con mejor desempe\u00f1o. Adem\u00e1s, el equipo trabaja en una herramienta computacional que permitir\u00e1 a la empresa preevaluar sus productos, asegurando su confiabilidad antes de implementarlos a escala industrial.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La segunda etapa se enfocar\u00e1 en determinar las propiedades termof\u00edsicas de las mangas en condiciones de alta temperatura, para despu\u00e9s probar su funcionamiento en un contexto industrial real.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Seg\u00fan el Dr. Vasco, esta innovaci\u00f3n podr\u00eda abrir nuevas oportunidades para la producci\u00f3n y comercializaci\u00f3n de mangas exot\u00e9rmicas, posicionando a Chile como un actor m\u00e1s competitivo en un mercado actualmente dominado por proveedores internacionales.<\/b><\/p><h2><b>Valoran colaboraci\u00f3n con Usach<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La alianza con la Universidad de Santiago es muy valorada desde Fexpa Industrial. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al respecto su <strong>gerente t\u00e9cnico, Vicente V\u00e1squez<\/strong><\/span><strong><i>, <\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dice<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cque nos permite retomar una estrategia con \u00e9nfasis en la innovaci\u00f3n, enfoque que ha sido clave en el crecimiento de nuestra empresa y en el objetivo de posicionarnos como l\u00edderes a nivel nacional de la l\u00ednea de productos que fabricamos\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>Otro punto que destaca dentro de esta colaboraci\u00f3n con la academia, es que la ejecuci\u00f3n del proyecto adquiere una mayor profundidad t\u00e9cnica, por lo cual esta vinculaci\u00f3n\u00a0 <\/strong><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cdebe proyectarse en el tiempo, incorpor\u00e1ndose de manera permanente a nuestra estrategia de desarrollo\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lo anterior, dice que resulta muy significativo de cara a los clientes, al presentarles <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cuna propuesta de investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo respaldada por Corfo, m\u00e1s el apoyo acad\u00e9mico de los profesionales del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Mec\u00e1nica, y con el aporte de nuestras redes en el \u00e1mbito industrial\u201d<\/span><\/i><span
