Esta tecnolog\u00eda se encuentra en proceso de solicitud de patente, tramitaci\u00f3n apoyada por la Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-11c9ed00 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"11c9ed00\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, los h\u00e1bitats marinos naturales como arrecifes, estuarios y manglares, entre otros, se han visto ambientalmente amenazados, debido a la actividad humana.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Una de las amenazas m\u00e1s relevantes, es la creciente expansi\u00f3n de infraestructuras submarinas y costeras, en donde la construcci\u00f3n de puertos, espigones y plataformas, ha generado importantes alteraciones en el ecosistema.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A esto se suma la urbanizaci\u00f3n costera y la contaminaci\u00f3n, que han intensificado fen\u00f3menos como la eutrofizaci\u00f3n, es decir, el exceso de nutrientes que degrada la calidad del agua y disminuye los espacios vitales para numerosas especies. Estos impactos comprometen no s\u00f3lo la supervivencia de la vida marina, sino tambi\u00e9n la resiliencia ecol\u00f3gica de los oc\u00e9anos ante los efectos del cambio clim\u00e1tico.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b>En respuesta a estas problem\u00e1ticas, un equipo de investigaci\u00f3n conformado por el Dr. Claudio Garc\u00eda, investigador de la <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/fing.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda<\/b><\/a><b> y Director del <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/vriic.usach.cl\/index.php\/laboratorio-de-biomecanica-y-biomateriales\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Laboratorio de Biomec\u00e1nica y Biomateriales<\/b><\/a><b> del <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/dimec.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Mec\u00e1nica<\/b><\/a><b> Usach,\u00a0 junto a los acad\u00e9micos, Dr. Marco Lardies, de la Universidad Adolfo Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez, y Nelson Lagos, de la Universidad Santo Tom\u00e1s, desarrollaron una losa modular de revestimiento para estructuras marinas, dise\u00f1ada para restaurar h\u00e1bitats degradados.\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La propuesta consiste en un \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sistema adaptable, elaborado con hormig\u00f3n biomejorado, que incorpora una mezcla de cemento marino y carbonato de calcio (CaCO\u2083), moldeado en formas tridimensionales con distintos niveles de complejidad estructural\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, explica el Dr. Claudio Garc\u00eda.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El investigador tambi\u00e9n destaca que, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cestas losas presentan relieves, ranuras y ondulaciones, cuya forma, direcci\u00f3n y cantidad pueden personalizarse seg\u00fan las necesidades del ecosistema local. Adem\u00e1s, este dise\u00f1o permite replicar la complejidad natural de los h\u00e1bitats marinos, lo que favorece la colonizaci\u00f3n por parte de especies y, en consecuencia, ayuda a mejorar la biodiversidad y la resiliencia del entorno\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finalmente, comenta que una de las principales ventajas de esta tecnolog\u00eda es su enfoque ecol\u00f3gicamente integrado, que contrasta con las soluciones gen\u00e9ricas tradicionales. \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Su adaptabilidad permite restaurar h\u00e1bitats espec\u00edficos de forma m\u00e1s efectiva, contribuyendo a una recuperaci\u00f3n sostenible de los ecosistemas afectados por la actividad humana\u201d,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a\u00f1ade el acad\u00e9mico.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En la actualidad, esta innovaci\u00f3n desarrollada en la Usach se encuentra en proceso de solicitud de patente en Chile, tr\u00e1mite apoyado por la <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dgt.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n
