La tecnolog\u00eda ya cuenta con patente en Chile y se encuentra lista para su transferencia a la industria.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-793a6a50 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"793a6a50\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La tecnolog\u00eda denominada <\/span><b>Fusi\u00f3n Aut\u00f3gena de Iodo (FAI)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, desarrollada en la Universidad de Santiago de Chile, obtuvo patente de invenci\u00f3n en Jap\u00f3n, registro que se suma al conseguido en Chile y la presentaci\u00f3n de solicitud de patentamiento en Estados Unidos.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esta innovaci\u00f3n es liderada por el <\/span><b>Dr. Ricardo Vega Viveros, acad\u00e9mico e investigador de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (FING), y surgi\u00f3 como una soluci\u00f3n a los problemas del proceso de refinaci\u00f3n del iodo en nuestro pa\u00eds, caracterizado por ser discontinuo, complejo, costoso y ambientalmente riesgoso.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La tramitaci\u00f3n de la patente fue apoyada por la <\/span><b>Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Su director, <\/span><b>Rodrigo Morgado Contardo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, subraya que \u201c<em>este es un paso clave, en el cual no s\u00f3lo se protege la propiedad intelectual de la invenci\u00f3n, sino que tambi\u00e9n facilita su transferencia tecnol\u00f3gica al mercado nacional y extranjero, abriendo oportunidades para generar acuerdos con empresas interesadas en implementar FAI\u201d.<\/em><\/span><\/p><h2>\u00a0<\/h2><h2><b>Impacto de la tecnolog\u00eda en Jap\u00f3n<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>&#8220;Recibo feliz y muy contento la noticia de la obtenci\u00f3n de la patente en Jap\u00f3n. En general, Asia es un campo complicado para el patentamiento, por lo que este es un hito muy relevante&#8221;,<\/em> enfatiza el <\/span><b>Dr. Ricardo Vega.<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>El investigador resalta que Chile y Jap\u00f3n lideran la producci\u00f3n mundial de iodo<\/strong>, el cual es altamente demandado por industrias como la farmac\u00e9utica, tecnol\u00f3gica y alimentaria. Sin embargo, los altos costos asociados a su extracci\u00f3n y producci\u00f3n se encuentran entre los principales desaf\u00edos que deben enfrentar las empresas productoras.<\/span><\/p><p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;En Chile, la extracci\u00f3n del iodo proviene del caliche, mientras que en Jap\u00f3n se obtiene <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">de pozos petrol\u00edferos, a los cuales se les introduce agua y, eventualmente, colapsan, haciendo que sus costos productivos sean mayores que los nuestros, acota el acad\u00e9mico. <\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">E<strong>n ese contexto,<\/strong><\/span><strong><em> &#8220;la patente puede tener un impacto significativo en la disminuci\u00f3n de dichos costos, en particular durante la etapa de refinaci\u00f3n del mineral&#8221;, <\/em><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sostiene.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Agrega que la tecnolog\u00eda tambi\u00e9n presenta otras ventajas,<\/strong> como<\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8220;reducir los costos de inversi\u00f3n y operaci\u00f3n, homogenizar la calidad del producto y minimizar las p\u00e9rdidas por menor exposici\u00f3n del iodo, lo que evita su sublimaci\u00f3n y torna el proceso menos contaminante&#8221;.<\/span><\/em><\/p><h2><b>Escalamiento industrial\u00a0<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Actualmente, FAI ha sido desarrollado como prototipo a nivel industrial y probado exitosamente en un ambiente real, gracias a la colaboraci\u00f3n entre la Usach y Autoterm, empresa de ingenier\u00eda y montaje dedicada a la automatizaci\u00f3n de procesos.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>&#8220;Tenemos muchas expectativas con este piloto como unidad productiva&#8221;,<\/em> se\u00f1ala el Dr. Ricardo Vega.
