La iniciativa cuenta con 11 entidades asociadas y en su ejecuci\u00f3n recibir\u00e1 el apoyo de nuestra Vicerrector\u00eda de Investigaci\u00f3n, Innovaci\u00f3n y Creaci\u00f3n, a trav\u00e9s de la Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-39211387 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"39211387\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El proyecto \u201cReBatVE: Reutilizaci\u00f3n avanzada de bater\u00edas de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos para almacenamiento de energ\u00edas renovables\u201d de <\/span><b>la Universidad de Santiago de Chile, se adjudic\u00f3 US$ 4 millones de financiamiento en el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.corfo.cl\/sites\/cpp\/sala_de_prensa\/nacional\/18_12_2024_i_mas_d_desafios;jsessionid=D3Lzg8hfl4LL2ZKOy6Zw4PAgT86ciNjKNfHCkYihezOPY2VyHxdH!1599147272!-1995915755\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">concurso \u201c<\/a><\/b><b>Desaf\u00edos de I+D<\/b><b>\u201d de<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.corfo.cl\/sites\/cpp\/homecorfo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Corfo<\/b><\/a><b>, orientado a potenciar el desarrollo tecnol\u00f3gico y energ\u00e9tico sostenible nacional.<\/b><\/p><p><b>La iniciativa ser\u00e1 ejecutada desde la Usach, por el<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/e2tech.usach.cl\/homepage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Electrical Energy Technologies Research Center (E2Tech)<\/b><\/a><b> y el<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/die.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda El\u00e9ctrica (<\/b><\/a><b>DIE), ambos de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> En esta participan un equipo multidisciplinario de investigaci\u00f3n, integrado por los acad\u00e9micos de la DIE Mat\u00edas D\u00edaz, Enrique Espina, Patricio Valdivia y Humberto Verdejo, junto a Domingo Ruiz, de la Facultad de Qu\u00edmica y Biolog\u00eda.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asimismo, contar\u00e1 con la <\/span><b>colaboraci\u00f3n de 11 entidades asociadas, provenientes de los \u00e1mbitos p\u00fablico y privado.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Estas son la Universidad de O\u2019Higgins, el Ministerio de Energ\u00eda, Agencia de Sostenibilidad Energ\u00e9tica, el Coordinador El\u00e9ctrico Nacional (CEN) y la Asociaci\u00f3n Nacional Automotriz de Chile (ANAC). Adem\u00e1s, se suman las empresas SISERCOM, KPN, SUBUS, ZEV, E2 Ingenier\u00eda, MOVIA y AliFrut.<\/span><\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Como Universidad, nos llena de orgullo haber logrado esta significativa adjudicaci\u00f3n, la cual nos permitir\u00e1 contribuir al avance del conocimiento, la innovaci\u00f3n y la sostenibilidad en nuestro pa\u00eds. La investigaci\u00f3n aplicada ReBatVE, impulsada por el trabajo y esfuerzo de nuestros investigadores, nos posiciona a nivel nacional en \u00e1reas que son cada vez m\u00e1s relevantes para el futuro, como la electromovilidad, las energ\u00edas renovables, la econom\u00eda circular y la miner\u00eda sostenible y respetuosa con el medio ambiente&#8221;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, destaca el<\/span> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vriic.usach.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Alberto Monsalve, Vicerrector de Investigaci\u00f3n, Innovaci\u00f3n y Creaci\u00f3n (Vriic).<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Triple impacto<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La investigaci\u00f3n ser\u00e1 ejecutada en un plazo de 36 meses en nuestra Universidad, <\/span><b>con foco en el desarrollo tecnol\u00f3gico para remanufacturar bater\u00edas de litio, que ya cumplieron su primera vida \u00fatil en veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, tales como buses, camiones y los de tipo liviano.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al respecto, <strong>Mat\u00edas D\u00edaz, investigador y l\u00edder del proyecto I+D,<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">se\u00f1ala que<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cla idea es poder tomar esas bater\u00edas en desuso y generar sistemas de respaldo energ\u00e9tico que tengan como finalidad almacenar energ\u00edas renovables y darle flexibilidad al sistema el\u00e9ctrico\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para conseguir los objetivos trazados y con el financiamiento obtenido, <\/span><b>se levantar\u00e1n tres laboratorios de alta tecnolog\u00eda, que permitir\u00e1n caracterizar, remanufacturar e integrar dichas bater\u00edas. Asimismo, se comprometi\u00f3 el desarrollo de siete pilotos tecnol\u00f3gicos, mediante un trabajo conjunto con las empresas e instituciones asociadas.<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dice que <\/span><b>esperan lograr atraer a otros actores de la industria, interesados en patrocinar este tipo de iniciativas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cLo que m\u00e1s buscamos es asociarnos con empresas para obtener y hacernos cargo de las bater\u00edas que vayan quedando en desuso en Chile, y que estas pasen por nuestros laboratorios para producir tecnolog\u00eda local que ser\u00e1 desarrollada en la Universidad de Santiago, apuntando al beneficio de potenciar un sistema el\u00e9ctrico carbono neutral y flexible\u201d, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">comenta.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Otro punto que resalta es la relevancia que tiene <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cpara nosotros como investigadores de la Usach liderar este tipo de iniciativas a nivel nacional y que son s\u00faper estrat\u00e9gicas, pensando en diversificar la econom\u00eda local\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
