La iniciativa fue financiada por la ANID, cont\u00f3 con la colaboraci\u00f3n de las empresas Topcolor S.A. y Typack, y recibi\u00f3 el apoyo de la Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica de la Vriic.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6c6b577d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6c6b577d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tras dos a\u00f1os de investigaci\u00f3n, se realiz\u00f3 el evento de cierre del proyecto Fondef <\/span><b>&#8220;Aplicaci\u00f3n de Barrera Funcional para la Producci\u00f3n de Envases de PET Reciclado Posconsumo para Alimentos&#8221;,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> el cual fue ejecutado por el Centro de Innovaci\u00f3n en Envases y Embalajes <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.labenchile.cl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laben-Chile<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> de la Usach, en colaboraci\u00f3n con las empresas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/topcolorsa\/?originalSubdomain=cl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Topcolor S.A.<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.typack.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Typack<\/a>, adem\u00e1s del apoyo de la Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica de la Vriic.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En la actividad participaron el Dr. Abel Guarda, director de Laben-Chile junto a investigadoras e investigadores del Centro. Tambi\u00e9n concurrieron desde la Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica Vriic, el director Rodrigo Morgado y la gestora tecnol\u00f3gica Xaviera Hern\u00e1ndez; as\u00ed como Sebasti\u00e1n Aguirre, decano de la Facultad Tecnol\u00f3gica y la Dra. Bego\u00f1a<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gim\u00e9nez<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, vicedecana de Investigaci\u00f3n y Postgrado de la misma facultad;\u00a0 Marco Echeverr\u00eda, R&amp;D Chief &#8211; Toplab en Topcolor S.A. y Alejandro Guti\u00e9rrez, gerente de Negocios de Typack, entre otros representantes de la industria del pl\u00e1stico.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El encargado de entregar las palabras de saludos a las y los asistentes a nombre de Laben-Chile, fue el Dr. Ariel Guarda, quien adem\u00e1s fue director responsable del proyecto. Luego el Dr. Eliezer Vel\u00e1squez, investigador y codirector de la iniciativa se refiri\u00f3 al trabajo desarrollado, los m\u00e9todos usados y los resultados obtenidos.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>El objetivo fue \u201c<i>desarrollar un envase basado en una formulaci\u00f3n nanocomp\u00f3sito de PET reciclado posconsumo, a partir de un masterbatch mediante la aplicaci\u00f3n de una barrera polim\u00e9rica, procesable en los sistemas de producci\u00f3n industrial y con propiedades f\u00edsico-mec\u00e1nicas e inocuidad adecuadas para el envasado de alimentos\u201d,<\/i> dijo el investigador.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A\u00f1adi\u00f3 que para cumplir con ese prop\u00f3sito, se trabaj\u00f3 de forma asociativa con<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/topcolorsa\/?originalSubdomain=cl\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Topcolor S.A.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, empresa dedicada a los concentrados de pigmentos para el sector de los pl\u00e1sticos, y con\u00a0 la cual se <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cprodujo un masterbatch a nivel industrial. Posteriormente, este masterbatch se us\u00f3 como aditivo para obtener envases incorporando PET posconsumo reciclado, lo que desarrollamos junto\u00a0 <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.typack.cl\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Typack<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, compa\u00f1\u00eda fabricante\u00a0 de envases\u201d.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Resultados y aporte a la industria<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Con respecto a los resultados, el Dr. Eliezer Vel\u00e1squez se\u00f1al\u00f3 que <strong>\u201c<\/strong><\/span><strong><i>pudimos aumentar el uso de PET reciclado posconsumo o domiciliario para las formulaciones de envases, con propiedades f\u00edsico-mec\u00e1nicas similares a los que son desarrollados con resina virgen\u201d<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>.<\/strong> Agreg\u00f3 que, el desarrollo <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cpotencialmente permitir\u00eda reducir el espesor de los art\u00edculos pl\u00e1sticos, manteniendo su calidad\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Detall\u00f3 que en l<strong>os prototipos se \u201ci<\/strong><\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>ncrement\u00f3 la resistencia y barrera al ox\u00edgeno del PET reciclado, consiguiendo conservar aquellos alimentos que son sensibles al ox\u00edgeno o que necesitan tener una alta barrera\u201d<\/strong>.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Asimismo, se logr\u00f3 una inocuidad capaz de reducir el riesgo de migraci\u00f3n de contaminantes presentes en el material reciclado, lo que permitir\u00eda producir potes m\u00e1s seguros para el consumo y la salud de las personas.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Coment\u00f3 que <em>\u201cel PET es un tipo de pl\u00e1stico que se usa en distintos sectores de la econom\u00eda, y que, aunque el desarrollo del proyecto puede tener distintas aplicaciones, se enfoc\u00f3 en la innovaci\u00f3n para las industrias fabricantes de envases y embalajes, incluyendo el envasado de alimentos\u201d. <\/em><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Puntualiz\u00f3 que la investigaci\u00f3n impacta en forma significativa entre las industrias antes mencionadas, especialmente contribuyendo a buscar alternativas que permitan cumplir con la <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/economiacircular.mma.gob.cl\/ley-rep\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ley REP <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Responsabilidad Extendida del Productor) para la gesti\u00f3n de residuos y protecci\u00f3n\u00a0 del medioambiente.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Destacan colaboraci\u00f3n\u00a0<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tanto desde Topcolor S.A como de Typack valoraron la oportunidad de trabajar en conjunto en la investigaci\u00f3n liderada por Laben-Chile.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En ese contexto, Marco Echeverr\u00eda, R&amp;D Chief &#8211; Toplab en Topcolor S.A, resalt\u00f3 la colaboraci\u00f3n que se gener\u00f3 entre los laboratorios de la compa\u00f1\u00eda y Laben-Chile durante la ejecuci\u00f3n, lo cual los impuls\u00f3 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201ca crear una nueva unidad de innovaci\u00f3n y desarrollo\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, para seguir testeando m\u00e1s productos.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por \u00faltimo, Alejandro Guti\u00e9rrez, gerente de Negocios de Typack, enfatiz\u00f3 que\u00a0 la investigaci\u00f3n y sus resultados son muy interesantes para la industria.
