Cristina Villamar Ayala, investigadora y acad\u00e9mica de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda, lidera esta investigaci\u00f3n aplicada en la industria, la cual es apoyada por la Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica (DGT-USACH). Su objetivo es la instalaci\u00f3n de un biofiltro para el tratamiento de aguas, con el fin de revalorizarlas en el riego ornamental o agr\u00edcola.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-19d704b1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"19d704b1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las industrias diariamente generan grandes vol\u00famenes de residuos l\u00edquidos, que son resultado del uso de aguas limpias en sus distintos procesos productivos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pero en vez de eliminar esos l\u00edquidos, muchas empresas han optado por tratarlos con innovadoras tecnolog\u00edas que los descontaminan para, despu\u00e9s reutilizarlos en otras actividades productivas. Una de esas alternativas son los biofiltros, los cuales incorporan procesos biogeoqu\u00edmicos para depurarlos y adem\u00e1s, brindan servicios ecosist\u00e9micos a sus usuarios y el entorno, en donde se emplazan.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Esa es la soluci\u00f3n que la USACH trabaja colaborativamente con la empresa asociada <\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/agrichile.cl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>AgriChile<\/b><\/a><b>, a trav\u00e9s del proyecto<\/b> <b>\u201cDesarrollo de un prototipo basado en residuos agroindustriales para el tratamiento y revalorizaci\u00f3n de aguas residuales\u201d. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La investigaci\u00f3n es liderada por la Dra. Cristina Villamar Ayala, acad\u00e9mica e investigadora del <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usach.cl\/tags\/laboratorio-investigacion-interdisciplinaria-ciencias-y-tecnologia-del-agua-ko-yaku\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laboratorio de Investigaci\u00f3n Interdisciplinaria en Ciencias y Tecnolog\u00eda del Agua Ko-Yaku<\/a>,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> de la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda, y en su ejecuci\u00f3n es apoyada por la Direcci\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica (DGT) de la Vicerrector\u00eda de Investigaci\u00f3n, Innovaci\u00f3n y Creaci\u00f3n USACH .<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De acuerdo con la investigadora, el objetivo es <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cponer en marcha un sistema de tratamiento de residuos l\u00edquidos, tipo biofiltro a escala piloto, en donde se busca sanear las aguas que procesa la empresa, entregando nuevos usos y poder revalorizarlas en riego\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es as\u00ed como la semana pasada, fue instalado el biofiltro en la planta de cultivo de avellanas que posee AgriChile, en la localidad de Camarico, Regi\u00f3n del Maule. Los avances que vaya teniendo dicho sistema ser\u00e1n monitoreados por el equipo de investigaci\u00f3n del laboratorio Ko-Yaku.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cabe destacar que, para realizar la biofiltraci\u00f3n, se est\u00e1n ocupando las c\u00e1scaras de avellanas provenientes del procesamiento de este fruto que realiza la misma empresa, por lo cual tambi\u00e9n se est\u00e1n reutilizado estos desechos org\u00e1nicos, que llegan a ser el 50% de las avellanas cosechadas.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Iniciativa con impacto ambiental y econ\u00f3mico<\/b><\/h2><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cLa biofiltraci\u00f3n es una de las propuestas tecnol\u00f3gicas que est\u00e1 bajo el contexto de las soluciones basadas en la naturaleza, las cuales son tecnolog\u00edas recomendadas por las Naciones Unidas para los Desaf\u00edos de Desarrollo Sostenible, espec\u00edficamente el desaf\u00edo 6, referente al agua y al saneamiento seguro\u201d,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> explica la Dra. Villamar respecto a las ventajas que presenta el sistema de biofiltraci\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adem\u00e1s de lo anterior, agrega que<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cestas tecnolog\u00edas son la respuesta, no s\u00f3lo a la problem\u00e1tica del saneamiento de aguas, sino tambi\u00e9n con miras a la resiliencia frente al cambio clim\u00e1tico\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por lo mismo, es que la utilizaci\u00f3n de biofiltros, tanto en zonas rurales como a nivel industrial, resulta muy efectiva de cara a los desaf\u00edos 9 y 12 que plantea las Naciones Unidas, relacionados con la innovaci\u00f3n y producci\u00f3n responsable, respectivamente.
