Through pioneering studies on anaerobic digestion, advanced oxidation processes and revaluation of value-added products, the laboratory sets a benchmark at the national and international level in the pursuit of solutions for the efficient management of natural resources and the mitigation of environmental pollution. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, such as an FIA system for the measurement of nitrogen in liquid phase, gas chromatographs for the detection of methane and carbon dioxide, as well as equipment for the measurement of standard parameters for residual water, the laboratory provides a favorable environment for high impact research. Currently, our team has been awarded research projects grants by FONDECYT and FONDEF, as well as internal projects, which demonstrates its relevance and leadership in the field of environmental biotechnology.
